| Description: | Procurement Analyst - £32,375 - £35,405 An exciting and new opportunity exists for a Procurement Analyst to join Scotland Excel, the centre of procurement expertise for local authorities in Scotland. Scotland Excel is an exciting new partnership which has been established by local authorities to transform procurement and deliver best value across the sector through collaboration. To achieve these aims, we are seeking to recruit a number of highly skilled individuals from a variety of backgrounds who can demonstrate the experience, drive and passion needed to meet our vision. The Role; Working out of one of the four Scotland Excel offices the prime focus of this role will be to collect, record, organise & present information to the Regional Account Manager for the development of effective procurement strategies for Scotland Excel and local authorities. You will also assist in the creation, development and implementation of systems that will interface processes & procedures with local authority equivalents. You will be required to make a significant contribution to Scotland Excel by developing & maintaining positive business relationships with local authorities that creates customer confidence and satisfaction. Also you will be expected to maintain contact with other Scotland Excel teams to ensure that management information is consistently recorded and communicated to those who have a need for it. Research and development activities will be shared with other Scotland Excel teams to ensure that efficiency, effectiveness and value is delivered to local authorities. Key Deliverables Include; Analyse regional / local data including data on expenditure, demand, specification & supplier information - feedback analysis to the Head of Relationship Management, Regional Account Manager & local authority corporate procurement managers. Work with local authority procurement teams to create information and analysis systems required to track the benefits of contract collaboration. Assist local authority procurement teams to identify future trends and contract development opportunities for category A, B and C commodities. Cooperate with local authority procurement teams to implement Scotland Excel customer relationship strategies. Experience & Qualifications Hold a HND or above in a business related subject or equivalent level of qualification and additionally have achieved or working towards, membership of a recognised and relevant institute / professional body. Previous experience of working within a business relationship / procurement environment and recording, sorting, analysing and presenting management information is essential. Also experience in various aspects of best practice procurement including corporate social responsibility is required.
